I’m excited to share that I will have a new artwork in the Gallery Gwyn Summer Exhibition. Gallery Gwyn is in the busy and charming coastal town of Aberaeron, Mid Wales, so if you happen to be holidaying in the area it’s an ideal destination.  I’ve moved on from the themes of death and weddings that I responded to for my last artwork ‘Twilight’s Veiled Bride’, and my new work is titled ‘Perimenopause’.  Unlike Twilight’s Veiled Bride which was 8 feet wide and 4 feet high, Perimenopause is around A4 size.  I hope that the subject matter, although dismal at first glance, will connect with viewers on a level that offers comfort and connection in the form of solidarity in the face of isolation.

The Gallery Gwyn Summer Exhibition is on from 10th August until the 4th of October 2024.

Perimenopause artwork by cat northfield is a creepy face looking haunted a black outline in a scribble with horizontal red lines and vertical blue lines and a dividing black line crossing through the face with sketchy red ink in places and haunted eyes and no hair
